Suburban Barn Door Lock assembly

Hi. For the lock on the barn doors on my '87 Suburban, the key just spins back and forth. So I pulled off the trim, and found that the latch piece that flips the lock rods up and down has fallen off the cylinder shaft (if that makes sense). However, I can't see how it attaches to keep it in place. Is there a clip or screw or something? I can stick it back where it looks like it needs to go, but don't see a way to keep it in place.

It could be held on by a screw or was pressed on. The screw would be a easy fix. For the pressed on type you can use a 2-part epoxy.

Look your truck up on LMC's website. They most times show an exploded diagram.

Looks like I have cylinder #7 in place, and I guess the clip is 19? their diagram is a little unclear to me as it's the assembly behind the little rectangular access panel. I don't see a screw mentioned for that, guess I could try epoxying it on there....anybody done this to verify?

If the lock cylinder has the end on it that I'm remembering, the clip that retains the lever looks like this:

I just googled "GM lock cylinder clip" and there's all sorts of places that popped up to buy them.

I pulled the cylinder out so I could see it better and that does indeed look like it. I will run by the dealer and see if they have one in stock, otherwise I found them on Ebay with a week or so shipping. Would like to have it sooner but we'll see...thanks!

SNOOTS, thanks for the pic, but that's a different profile from mine.
So to update, I went by the local dealer, they had one of the odd shaped clips as in post #4, but they didn't fit. A very helpful parts guy and I spent about a half an hour looking, wiggling, trying, etc, and no dice with those clips. I did buy a parts kit for $3 just to have it on hand, but it ended up being a 7/16 E clip that fit and seems to hold
everything in place correctly
I guess we'll see how that holds up, but for now that seems to be working.
Next question, what kind of grease should go in there? It's a crusty mess, so I'm sure that wasn't helping with extra stress on things...
