Hi, I was looking to soften up the ride on my 1991 V2500 Suburban. I currently have the 7(6/1) 2300lbs springs, but see they list a 5(4/1) 2000lbs and one for the 2wd models that's a 8(7/1) 1950lbs. They are all 56" long, is there any reason the 2wd springs wouldn't work in the 4wd? I would think the thinner 2wd leaves would ride smoother. Thanks!

I’m not a Suburban owner, but I think Any 56” squarebody spring should fit.

You might look for aftermarket springs that are listed as soft-ride. However, you might also need to then add an overload spring for those times you fill the suburban up with 8 people and their luggage.

Any stock 56" spring will fit, no matter if it's from a 2wd or 4x4.
