Personally, I wouldn't do it. Graphite makes more sense to me.

That's the way I was tought how to do it..
Go figure.......the school of thought back in 1932 was a bit different then now oh that’s right we don’t have to pump up a canister to get it to spray. :D

You’d think it would want to pump it towards the speedo head because of the pattern on the cable.
That's true.. Unless a "helper" is watching the other end, how would one know when the cable is full?? Grease could be forced into the head which is a definite no-no.. Plus proper lubrication doesn't require the housing to be full.. Too many possibilities of a screw-up for me to use the grease injection method...

Pb Blaster makes a dry spray lube. It work wonders on my shop tools and doesn't collect sawdust like others. It also works wonders on garage doors and tracks

I want to say we got those encyclopedias in the late 70s early 80s. I’m sure you remember door to door salesmen.

Nope most the stuff I worked on professionally didn’t have a speedo cable. Lol just 3 wires.
