Steering column question? Again...

I need a column for my 4 speed truck, but only thing I can find is auto columns found a really nice one for 40 bucks. Will I run into any trouble getting this one besides taking shifter of column?

Mostly it is a preference. Auto column will have a visible stub where shifted was.

One currently in truck is switch less and horn doesn't work, so right now just wanting one that functions correct

It will swap in. Need to make sure it matches your year as far as switches(turn/wiper/high beam)

Why not rebuild your column? Is it a horn button and turn signal switch all you're needing to get back up and running? Throw in a new turn signal cancel cam for good measure. You can fix those things without having to remove the column from the truck completely.

Truck has serious issues with cab wiring, the housing around column looks to be cut for switch removal, probably been stole before I will post pics later.

I was about to say even if you get another column, you could probably swap the lever housing. If that’s been hacked to hell, then that’s out the window, though.

Damn that sucks. Well if you swap in an auto column you can consider it a theft deterrent. Some shmuck wont know which shifter to hit hopefully giving you time to load your favorite gun.

Ebay has em every now and then but they are pricey.

Wow. That's got to be worst column I've ever seen. You still drive that? That's even worse than the ole vise grips in place of the missing steering wheel... Lol
