So i got a replacement mini starter today. Brought it home and wired it up but i get nothing when i turn the key. I wired it the same as the normal starter. Did i just do something wrong? All 3 wires had terminals for the right size lug so i know nothing got crossed.

I just went through a bunch of electrical issues last year .

Triple check your battery cables for any kind of corrsion and make sure you have a good connection.

Time to break out the DMM and get a helper.
Someone just posted a similar problem. Found out the cable from the battery had gone bad.

Did you bench test it before you put it on? Could be bad from the yard.

I'm thinking if it was a mini starter probably not "from the yard" but maybe he got lucky.

Its a replacement for a 95 1500 from autozone.i didnt want to cheap out to begin with but my wifes car needed some **** that came up and unfortunately my poor baby gets put on the back burner so i have nothing to drive or i get stuck buying crap parts. Valuecraft sucks. Yea yea i know i should know better but unfortunately money and time dictated otherwise this time.

At local autozone here in rapid. They are testing new starters for me. Upgraded me at no cost. Pretty happy with them.

Glad it worked out for you. I'm old and I hate doing things twice anymore ,so I always bench test. Besides I don't trust anybody very far.
