I have a 85 K2500 and I was wondering if anyone knows why there is a squeaky noise when turning at little to no speed. I haven’t replaced anything to figure it out yet but wanted to eliminate some things before spending money on it.

Usually it is a dry joint. Just try greasing it. Look for rust at each joint. Jack up, check for looseness at each joint and linkage.

Then go to @fast 99 at post #2 and take his advice. To shorten the time, get a friend to help to turn the wheel and don't forget to use jack-stands!

You have to grease the suspension Junior. Regularly, like every oil change.
There are 13? 14? Spots to grease in a k2500 not including driveline. Might be 17 spots need lube. REGULARLY, like every oil change.

Spraying your front end with WD-40 doesn't count.

Depending on the level of experience here, it could be a whining power steering pump that's low on fluid.

Squeaky noise vs whine...
