I just put a set on a 70 c10 and there were holes from old sport mirrors once we installed them we could barley see out of the passenger side. Super upset cause all body work was done and nothing could be done now. So when placing them make sure your able to see out of them.

@mario87c10 I had the exact same problem with a Bronco project. The PO wanted the "smooth" look which makes for a very poor driver. We deliberately moved the mirrors back and down a little to avoid drilling into the bondo and risk having a large oval shaped hole. We figured that having the mirrors an inch or so away from the Exact Perfect Original Location was something no one would ever notice and was preferable to knocking out a "chunk" of bondo and messing up the paint.

My Advice: Don't try to find the exact holes, do as @Originalthor suggested and sit in the truck while a friend moves the mirror around to a location you like.

Cannot recommend the sport mirrors. I have them from the factory and absolutely hate them, but with the look of that truck you won't be driving it enough for it to matter.

When I went through this, these are the responses I got. I used them as an approximation.
