lol yeh way out there, but has it been done? Possible? Haven't done any research so mock away lol.

Just a thought that popped in my head while trying to figure out an easy way to put a wench system in the bed to pull up a deer to gut, then continue dragging/lifting into the bed with out ramps. The tail gate is in the way in the plans so far.

The height remains the same as letting your tailgate down. Or just take it off.

I did the same in my grandmas 86 celebrity station wagon. I used to eat candy and toss the gross ones out the little wing windows lol

I had always cooked up in my mind making my 2 big rear windows in my burban powered and go down like all the rest. Just crazy ideas.

You could always do what my mobile butcher has. It’s a hoist that’s bolted to the bed with a small boom and winch. He lifts all manner of critters up with it to put in his bed.

I have considered the door gate like the wagon. Just be a lot of work. I am a nuts and bolts kinda guy, not a fabricator at all.

My Suburban is so tall the tailgate can become a pain in my ass. But I intend to body swap it one day. So I am just gonna make sure I get a good barn door body.

Yep, 78 Buick Estate Wagon without the wood trim sides. Dad thought the stickers were stupid. "Not wasting money on that worthless crap!" LOL He always had a way with words.

Lincoln did that years ago with their Blackwood model truck.
