I have an 85 K20 with a 6.2l diesel, 700r4 with a NP241c transfer case.
The issue is when I start up and start driving the speedometer works without issue and is accurate, but once I drive for a bit (10 miles or so) the speedometer bounces a couple of times and then dies. It will remain dead for the remainder of the trip, but if I turn the truck off for a period of time, it will start working again until it warms up and then it stops.
I have not seen anything in the forums or on Google with the same issue. Has anyone seen this issue before or can give me direction to look into? TIA
