spark plug evaluation - help - timing? running temp?

YOU ALL ROCK, -picking this thread baxk up from a few weeks ago- JUST WHAT I NEEDED.

Right after my last post, my sister was involved in an auto accident

Azhol, punkaz kid, coca-cola'd out of his mind couldn't stop at the red light because he was texting his dealer asking for more- im telling you, crazy - cant make this shi'aat up, they got that off his phone & with time stamps-

Any way, after two surgical procedures she has since (past Sunday) been released and will, without question, pull it back to 100%! Touch and go for a while there. Who knew humpty dumpty was my sis?

I haven't opened this (or any other) forum for more than 3 seconds for the past 2 weeks. Its been a long hard ride. But im back.

Im gonna grab a cold Budweiser, perch in the rocking chair and read all of this. Its past time to get back on it.

My nerves could use a set of brakes...

Fellas - and gals - Im back! starting to wrench on this here Chevy too! Lets get rolling!! And thanks for all the replys - this is a pretty good post - lots of opinions - some facts - but just good reading....

@Jwernatl You ever figure out your spark plugs being half white, have black? I have the exact same issue. 10 degrees advanced. Chevy 350. No clue. AC Delco R45TS Plugs.

@Jwernatl You ever figure out your spark plugs being half white, have black? I have the exact same issue. 10 degrees advanced. Chevy 350. No clue. AC Delco R45TS Plugs.
i would think your combustion chamber is not consistent inside, possibly carbon deposits heavily on a part, maybe a oil control issue in one spot, maybe a chipped piston if you push any power or got a little pingy

Otherwise I would think maybe you have a AFR thats changing like a gummed up carb? you into clocking those bad boys? How old are they? They havent used that number for a long time, but i cant judge thats in my engine right now. long trips, short trips? tsat?
can you flip that plug over and show the ceramic and note anything on it. i see some hot looking baking near the bottom, is there any carbon tracks or is the rubber boot have any contamination on it thats interupting the seal in the wire?

@AuroraGirl Every single plug is the same. Could be, but I doubt every piston is chipped, cylinder has hot spots or has same carbon deposits.

hmm. i would look at the ignition side of things or a camshaft to crankshaft issue, such as a maybe chain installed off proper or gettting worn. otherwise i would say it should all be contained to the distributor based on how i would approach it. if you were gonna ever have stuff off for timing cover seal or maintainence, worth a look. but if your distributor is old or coil is old, maybe worth trying some different units for a monitoring of how it goes
