Does anyone have a picture of a set of these round speakers in the doors? Not trying to hijack your thread but I'm also trying to find a place to add front speakers.

If you are willing to cut the dash pad you can put 4 inch speakers in front like i have or you can put 3.5 inch speakers in the stock location underneath the pad.

As far as the sub one ten in a sealed box behind the seat should do it. Put the amp behind the seat as well. As for the 6x9's I would go with a coaxial that way u don't have to worry about The tweeters. If u do go with components the tweeter should be as close to the speaker as possible and be sure to point source them. The amp as long as it has enought power. And the head unit a lot of people don't like them but I have always had good luck with pioneer.

Ok just a heads up about your headunit, i think the bass is ****, i bought this setup also and on my old hu i could adjust the rca and normal speaker bass separate, this hu does not let you.
Not trying to stray you away, i just thought ide let you know.

I know that there have been a lot of suggestions here, but I would like to share what I did with my 84 C20.

I kept the original sized head unit cutout and installed a retrosound model one. I had trouble finding some 4x10" speakers for the rear, but crutchfield had some Kicker brand ones that work great. As far as the front, I used some infinity 3.5" speakers and used 4. One each in the original cutouts and then ran two more in the center opening. Once it was all said and done, I still didn't like the amount of bass I was getting. I'm not one to want to rattle everything.....just wanted some good sounding music. I installed a Kenwood powered subwoofer (150 watt) in the center of the rear of the cab. It was exactly what I needed. Overall, I couldn't be happier. I utilized all the original openings for speakers and didn't have to hack my dash at all.
