Sound deadening and carpet

Anyone ever used sound deadening material in floorboard and new carpet is there a fit issue. Probably get carpet off eBay

I have, I used dyna-mat you can get it at any radio install place its not cheap but works great get the bulk pack make sure its the metal and tar stufff not the other kind. I put three layers on the dyna mat another foil mat then the carpet with the same kinda mat glued to it. Cant hear anything but the shifters rattling....
