How wide do you believe those rallies are?Never factory in that width.
How wide do you believe those rallies are?
@Buicknut 5 lug rally wheels were available first for 2 wheel drive trucks. The 6 lug 4WD rally wheels a few years later 1975 or '76.
Some 1980's 4WD Suburbans had wider rallies, for sure 1985.
6 lug rallies available from GM in 3 different widths. Don't know them all from memory but definitely 3 sizes.I believe most of the 6-lug rallies were 8" wide, with some being 7" wide. I personally don't remember seeing a 7" myself and I don't know what they came on.
I thought they were an aftermarket 10s. The smooth band after the trim ring looks wide. Here's some 15x8s The ones in his Pic look deeper to me.How wide do you believe those rallies are?

Maybe 6", 7" and 8" from the factory? I know the 5 lug ones were available in 15x8 cause we had em on the back of the '84 Burb, with mudgrips on them. The early "star" style OBS alloys we had on the front. Dad liked that wheel and wanted to run them on all 4 corners, but they didn't have the weight rating to do so. And this was our primary swap meet truck, and also this was in the late 80s/early 90s before anyone was repopping those wheels.6 lug rallies available from GM in 3 different widths. There are several different trim rings that will fit these wheels. Dad liked the more square edges with just a little bit of rounding, and he found some for the '79 and '84 Burbs. I wanna say that's what the original style was?? But there are other styles with the wider, more sloped profile. Maybe that's what is more "correct"?I thought they were an aftermarket 10. Wow glad you found out looked wider to me, sorry. Still look wider, but it is what it isI was told they are factory wheels and they are 15x8s.
I can't use more than an 8.Wow glad you found out looked wider to me, sorry. Still look wider, but it is what it is
Keith would know better what they came on but I've always been under the impression that trucks usually got x8s, some got the 7s and vans usually got either 6 or 7" wide ones. IIRC, the rally debuted on the Gentleman Jim in '75
