Small block be big block engine pedestal

I have a 1985 GMC I’m installing a 454. Does a big block use the same frame pedestal as a small block? The part that goes from the crossmember to the frame.

Yes and no. For real no,in reality,it all bolts up and works like it was supposed to.

The big block will bolt right into the small blocks place. Buy the small block motor mounts for the truck, not the ones for the big block motor.

The above is correct. Yes, but no. Things will bolt up, but it won't be what GM intended. I had the same issue with the diesel swap. Bigger motor mounts and different perches.
