Sm 465

Browsing my local cl today and found this

Are they a good deal? And do they appear to be 4wd ones?

I'm not sure what those are. They have the wrong shift tower to be a 465, and I'm unfamiliar with what is going on with the gear on the output shaft. I may be very wrong about this, but I almost want to say those are ford transmissions from the design of the shift tower.

That is very remenesant of a Jeep Dana 20 input gear.

I did some image searching, of the nv4500, m465, and ford t18 transmissions, and none of them match. The gears on the output might mean they're from some other equipment.

I guess it could be one of the older jeep 3 speed units, didn't image search those.

Alreadty checked the t18, knew they used to run them in fords as comparable to the 465/420 units. Looked up the sm420 too, still no match.

I google searched the t18, and the images kept showing 3 shift rails under the tower. Both of the ones in the ad only have 2. Otherwise, it was the closest

Well if that's what it is I have 2 D20 cases sitting here.lol I did have one in my truck but the front shaft angle was way to severe.

I Googled ford t18s, apparently they use a different shift tower assembly. The jeep t18 is a dead match.
