Right now I have a 10 bolt. It is getting a locker soon, will I be OK to run 29x10.5 slicks or am I going to tear it up?

Depends on which type of locker. An insert will go in the stock carrier and then you still have a weak point. A full replacement locker is a much better option and should be OK. Especially if you also upgrade the axles and use one of the available diff covers with preload bolts.

I'd go right to the steel billet driver's side carrier bearing cap and 1/2 studs and forgo using just the reinforcement type diff cover. Alloy 30 spline axles and an aftermarket carrier are defiantly the way to go also !

Stick or auto, BBC or SBC , Nitrous / supercharged or NA, how bad will the abuse be ??
Are you using factory or aftermarket gears ?

350 making 300 or so to the wheels when done hopefully. Probably a 100 shot on top.

Factory 273 gears

The stock carrier is a very weak link. About as weak as a 1/2 ton's U-joint !!

If I were you I'd mark a straight line down the driveshaft to monitor any twist in it.

With 400 hp @ the fw plus a nitrous hit and a stall speed - you'll stress the stock components to breakage in the whole driveline, especially with 2.73 gears !!!

Think one ton driveshaft and U-joint size , and perhaps aftermarket yokes too.

Maybe drag radials and a nitrous timer would be better than slicks !?

Moser axles treat me right and I would ditch the straps on the yoke. I don't think you'll have much (if any) trouble FROM THE 10 BOLT- running 2.73. You will most certainly lunch a weak trans however. ESPECIALLY if you shift on the bottle. Good flexplates only run about 80 and you'll want the 30 dollar bolts. You NEED an "anti-balooning" torque convertor if you gonna feed it squeeze and they run better than 300 bucks. Plan on a driveshaft loop if you want a time slip.
We want video - don't mess around.

Let's be real, if you AREN'T tearing stuff up, you're not doing it right. ;)

Wait. Where was the change in the carrier? What gear ratio, anyone know offhand? 3.08?
Maybe you WILL kill it.

I looked it was 2.73, you're screwed LoL...
