Snapped up a single owner awd highlander that has just over 100k on it. Absolutely immaculate inside, and it has a tape deck! Should be great for winter and more fuel conservative ventures. Comfortable, spacious, and doesn't look like too bad, unlike almost everything 2010+ Seems to be a perfect reasonable daily for our tough northern climate.

Man good for him. I've been looking for a good reliable daily driver, and I regularly see these on marketplace with 250k plus miles, so I snapped this up less than an hour after it came up for sale.

I think this is going to be my daily for the next decade or so, unless there are other circumstances. It's a pleasure to drive, quiet, good sound system, comfy seats, and has no real issues mechanically. Great to not have a money pit alongside the square, so theoretically I'll have more money and time for it.

Been putting in a bunch of work on the daily, she’s coming around. Painted all the black plastics, fresh lights and LEDs all around, headunit and new brakes. Tint, some color matching and a muffler are really all that’s planned for the rest of the year. Regear to 4.56, engine reseal/cam upgrade, level kit/33s and 06/07 front end is next years plan.

Picked this 2005 Silverado 2500 2 wheel drive up . Got a pretty decent price was a trade in , plus my mom needed a car . So long story short mom doesn't like small cars , my wife's aunt likes small cars so 6 hrs later of driving... and a trade , mom gets a Durango suv . I get an another truck . 295,000 miles... but runs out great . Just did front rotors and pads . And needs a pitman arm and inner tie rod . Everything else is jam up tight in the front end .

My current 2004 Silverado 2500HD 4x4 6.0/4L80e With it being a crew cab with an 8 foot bed, I rarely run out of room to put things when I am moving a bunch of stuff at once. I saved it from becoming an older gentleman’s “beater truck” since he thought being 20 years old somehow makes it worthless. He also got disgusted with its massive turn radius. After driving it for a while, I’ve decided that it is really not that much worse than an extended cab 8 foot bed, crew cab 6 foot bed, or even a regular with an 8 foot bed. Narrow parking lots can be a tight fit for it, but very few are impossible. Generally speaking, if the 8 foot bed truck doesn’t fit, the 6 foot one probably won’t either. With 4.10 gears, it will pull some of my heavier livestock trailers with ease, though the truck demands a lot of fuel for this task, unlike its Duramax equipped brethren. With that said, parts for venerable LQ4 are generally a lot cheaper than parts for any variant of the 6.6, so I won’t gripe too much.

Recently I’ve replaced nearly the entire cooling system, and did some work to the pads and rotors. Odometer currently reads a little over 200k but the overall truck still seems pretty solid.

Yup the long boys are fun to park, especially in tight lots, but it can be done. It helps me to visualize things from the aerial view, to see what direction I need to move it, to turn around in our front lot here at the park. Usually requires a three point turn.... it's about 60-65' to the fence from where we park in front of our trailer.
But when you need some room to haul stuff, ya got plenty, that's fer sure! When we had to move a few rows at the park last year, got the patio furniture, stuff off the yard and the table from inside the trailer too.

A lot of guys will tell me I’m crazy for going out of my to buy long beds, but the real kind of crazy is fighting ratchet straps and playing cargo Tetris in a short bed when the same cargo could be hauled by simply loading the bed and shutting the tailgate on a long bed. With that said, there’s nothing wrong with short beds if you ever use your truck for towing trailers and carrying limited cargo.
