yes, it is cinderblock throughout. as for keeping water out of the pits (i have one in the garage attached to the house too, as do my neighbors), i have no idea what they used to keep the water out. all 4 of them seem to be pretty water free though.

Hmm...when I finally have my chance to build my own garage I'd love to construct one out of cinderblocks and give it that 50's-60's gas station/garage feel to it. My grandpa's brother use to have his own filling station and garage here in Muskogee back in the late 50's early 60's, I've got some pics of it and I thought it's be cool to have a nostalgic garage. Though of course I wonder what the cost difference between a concrete floor pole barn and a cinderblock building with concrete floors are.....

I'd like to show you guys what look I'm going for but I can't seem to find anything online, there's an old gas station in Tahlequah on my way to class, I'll have to take a pic of it Tuesday on the way there.

I rent my man cave now. Got sick of my house looking like a warehouse/auto shop. And with the city being the asses they are, it was best for me to move stuff out anyway. This is an old airplane hanger that a buddy and I rent. Half of its myspace, half of its his space and the doors open all the way across the front from end to end, so getting trucks in and out isn't a problem. If I didn't have parts in there, I could 2 wide with room to spare, and 2 deep as long as they weren't crew cabs. Oh, and we even have a shittter. LMAO Just walk out the front doors and across the gravel road and there it is. All we have is electric and getting a phone and internet at the shop. No running water. Kinda sucks for cleaning up, but hand soap and rags work, and we have a 55 gallon drum of water too that last quite a while for multipupose use.

And a look around inside at my half. Mostly just some of my parts so far. My other stuff is still at a building that I was renting that did not have electricity, so in process of moving, and still some at the house in the garage.
Pic 1 is a 2in/4in lowering kit for a Squarebody half ton.
Pic 2 Obvious. 20 gallon fuel tanks. You'd be suprised, its sometimes hard to find good ones, so I won't cut loose of these.
Pic 3 is 2 of my 14b Full Floats, one of which is a CUCV 4.56 Detroit Locker Unit, I hope to be using in my 85 K10 to K20 conversion.
Pic 4 is 2 Pontiac 400 complete engines. 1 is a 67 motor, and 1 is a 74 motor.
Pic 5 is of the Olds 455 Big Blocks, one disassemled on the pallet along with parts from a Olds 425 BB, A complete 68 Olds 455, and Complete SBC 350 thats never been cracked open and is all standard begging to be built. Oh, and that SM465 and bell housing I bought a few weeks ago for $50.

And more junk. You guy like junk pics, I have lots more junk. hahaha, but they are my treasures. LMAO
Pic #1 is an Olds 350 Motor and T350 Trans I pulled from an 80 GMC that used to be Olds Diesel and later converted, along with a 10bolt rear end, and the 12 bolt that I sold today and longer have that one pictured. I have another though.
Pic #2 350 4 bolt SBC being disassembled for inspection and possible rebuild for the 85 K10 project. Likely going to be unless I decide to go T350 and Olds 455 in the K10/20, but likely the K10 is to be 350, and thinking about another C20 project for the Olds 455 and Turbo 400 project with one of the 4.10 Full Floater rear ends.
Pic #3 is a Buck 231 V6 and T350 trans I was going to put in a small 4x4 like a Izuwho Trooper. Not sure what I am doing with it now, to many other project working.
Pic #4 is the Engine Hoist, Bed and Cab Hoist and many other things.
Pic #5 is my air supply for when I start feeling not so smart, I get refilled. Sometimes even used to work on the truck, disassemble engines and transmissions.
Bored yet??? Thats enough junk for now !!!

Here it is, I think it looks pretty cool. Needs some TLC though. I wouldn't mind having one just like it, but I doubt mine would have gas pumps since they're so expensive.

So, I get the idea you are wanting something like the garage Goober works at on the Andy Griffith show? That would make a great man cave. Especially if it had a couple lifts, a tire mount and balancer machine, an alignment rack etc. I'd be jealous !!!

Puhleeze?? What's up with this clean and neat ****??? How can you call that a shop??? LMAO !!! I know, I know, thats the way I like it too. Neat and Organized, but as much as I like it that way, just to much stuff, not enough space and always having to shift something to work around something else.

Hey, it's on for this Saturday. I'm off and I think my grandma will watch the baby.
