Dad was a logger but scrapped cars on the side. There were many junks in the woods where they were cutting timber often. I remember when he pulled a 67 fastback Galaxie 390 in that I wanted real bad. My 16 year old finances couldn't afford it...but still I wanted it. My daddy told me "it's all junk son, don't fall in love". He then told me how I couldn't save them all. It stinks for sure but sometimes you must turn the blind-eye.

Truth... thats the vision of my boss but.... i HATE to trash good stuff. 3 of our daily drivers were work (scrap yard) saves. Plus i have a love for old caddys as thats all my grandpa ever drove.

NO!! Use time and resources on 78 Chevrolet truck!!

Bad advice! Lol

The correct advice would be to quit wasting time with that Equinox or whatever it is, and dump all the time and money into the C10 AND the Caddy!

I believe that car came new with a 425. It would suck to put a 350 in it and get whooped by a grandma in a brougham.

From what I remember, those 425's were gutless. Felt similar to a same-year Caprice with 350.

So how would a gutless 350 from a Caprice feel in the heavier Caddy? It needs a 502 or a 470...

The Coupe DeVille was essentially a Caprice in those '77+ years.

But yes, I agree. All full-size cars should have large displacement engines.

Don’t add another project until after you finish the one you’re working on….dad reminded me of this often. I have passed on several cool cars in the past two years; tough choices but necessary.

A hawk that tries to chase two rabbits at the same time often fails to catch either and goes hungry.
