That was with shipping. May be cheaper for you because they're based out of Tennessee so the shipping charges may be less since you're in the south. $500 for the kit, $85 for shipping to Montana.

NTW has a 6" RC lift with front springs, rear blocks, u-bolts, shocks and steering arm for $445.95, don't know what it would be to ship to you though. I think burbdood's kit included rear springs which is the best way to go though.

I agree. I do believe rear springs is the way to go. Thanks for the lift ideas. If anyone else has lift and price ideas i'm open to as many choices as I can get.

I've heard that Rough Country lifts ride.......well..........rough, but I don't really care too much. I kind of like a firmer ride with a truck. I hate a mushy ride. I guess I'll soon find out how good or bad it is in a couple of months though.

And yes, my kit included rear springs. I had a 90 K5 Blazer with a Rancho 4" lift with rear blocks and I had axle wrap so bad, it sounded like an angry midget with a baseball bat whacking my floor boards on more than one occasion. If you were to get a R/C 4" lift with blocks, they run $349.

I had a 4" "Rugged Trail" lift, you cant get em anymore and it's a good thing lol, it was pretty Rugged. In other words, don't drive the truck less than 45 minutes after a meal, it was that bad. But from my Jeep buddies I've heard nothing but good about RC. It will be stiffer so you may find yourself modifying your driving style in certain situations, like a dirt road with a lot of potholes, instead of going slow over them and having your kidneys hammered out, you might get a better ride going at a little quicker clip over them. I don't like a super soft ride either, like what you get with IFS. You feel like you're riding on the bump stops more than the springs/shocks.

this is probably a dumb question but can the front leaf springs be flipped to curve upwards for a small lift

No, cant do that but you can swap a pair of 52" rear springs into the front, but you have to relocate your front spring hangers forward a couple inches. Net 4" or so from this cheap mod.

ok. i am really debating on the 52's on the front. wish it was as easy as flipping the front springs over but of course it wouldn't be that easy.

I had a shackle flip from Poly Performance which was reasonably priced, but when I got my 6" lift it came with 56" rear springs and Off Road Design's shackle flip kit, which to me looks much more heavy duty with the gussets and heavier plate steel. They usually net 4" of lift unless you opt for ORD's longer rear shackles.
having held both products in my hands, DIY4Xs is a far better design, and lends itself to shackle tuning better.

And as said before swapping rear 52" springs in the front will net 4" of lift, since stock springs are negatively arched and rear springs have positive arch. You should be able to run 35s pretty easily with 4" lift.
crossover steering is a must at that point, and youlll want to install some GOOD bumpstops. 52s are VERY flexy, and will overflex the stock steering, locking it up, and put the tires in the fender/inner fender/bumper/cab floor with ease.

What does the zero rate look like. im thinking about cutting a hole in my rear hangers and doing my own shackle flip and bracing it up.
