The main problem with these dollies wasn't the design but the wood. They are cutting pine so young anymore the grain is loose and awful. We have these chasms for cracks in the concrete here. Hit one a couple times and it will pull a 1-1/2" lag bolt out or split/crack the 2x. So I added a 3rd 3" deck screw where the corners join, and then added 2x6 gussets in every corner, as well as a plywood gusset on the very bottom. 2-1/2" lag bolts now go into all solid wood and it holds.

Going to run two 2x8's across the top of my dolly and attach them to the 2x4's I used on the rockers. A 14" 'wall' in the back will screw to the dolly and be bolted into the original cab mount holes in the back.

I wanted something I can wheel anywhere as well as crawl inside with my 235lb ass when I'm sanding or painting without anything being crushed or damaged. Could have welded something simpler and more strong but I dont have that ability here.

Same . No welder. This is dolly #2.
First dolly is under the original rust infested cab. This one will go under donor cab. Pallet held industrial pump. Custom made. Not a throw away pallet u can get anywhere.

These cabs don't weigh anything! But me being in the cab sanding broke a 1k dolly! Zero damage to the rocker. But I have since added a 2x4 and other support to the dolleys. @Doppleganger the original welds at the bottom of a rocker is 3 pieces sandwiched together.

I jacked my cab up with a 2x4 across the bottom near the cab mounts, on a floor jack until it was high enough to stick a 4x4 under the cab mount at all four places.
