These were intended as floor joists spanning some I-beams, but they were not what was desired so after some sort of legal altercation, they were replaced for free, and there they’ve sat ever since. People keep asking to buy them and my money situation warrants holding onto them no longer. There are 36 20’ trusses. I’m going to throw $7000 at the guy who asked most recently and hold onto a bottom line of $6300. Does this sound about right?

That's not a bad price. Works out to about 50 cents a pound if they're the 400# joists. Honestly though if it were me and I wanted em out of my way if someone countered 5 grand I'd take it as long as they're loading/hauling themselves.

Good point. In my head, I was picturing loading them myself or getting my brother to do it, but if they’re willing to do it themselves, I’d consider knocking down the price to save myself that headache. Thanks.

You would have a better feel for your local market, but if I could get that price they would have been sold a long time ago. Take it. Scrap values up here are 5-10 cents per pound.

The guy who asked the other day said he was interested at that price. He’s a mechanic and wants to build a second shop. The guy who drives the UPS truck says he knows someone who’s interested in it, too, so I’ve got some hopeful leads.
