Should I put something to fill this in completely

From what I remember, that blob of weld is there simply to lock down the pressure adjustment.

I noticed a chip off the cast iron diaprham top. Quiet possibly was leaking fuel if that fails I’ll put gaco roof black silicone on it

Well I put the new diaphragm in got it runnin but when I put it in gear it dies . Mind you new fuel pump and fuel filter , no carbon in the intake.... since it’s colder weather should I turn the idle screw to the right run more leaner on fuel ?

Ok no bogging down in gear when I disconnect the iac plug, does some light popping backfire sounds occasionally with the iac plug disconnected when in park . So I have to just light touch the gas to smooth it out very interesting. I wonder if I’m alright with driving around with the iac unplugged in the winter time?

What problems can arise driving with iac unplugged?

I feel more confident that my truck won’t stall out when I’m at a green light turning with my iac unplugged.

Winter time iac unplugged
Summer time iac plugged in

Any thoughts?

I saw a video where shorted injectors can cause excessive amperage and rough running I’ll try to find out how to test my injectors not sure how yet

I would suggest you go into the resource library and get the manual for your truck. There are specific troubleshooting procedures for identifying the root of the problem. Did you rebuild the injectors while you were doing the FPR? Judging by the state of the diaphragm and the gaskets, I would bet the injectors need a rebuild too. Have you gone through the ignition timing set procedure and the idle set procedure? You should NOT adjust the idle stop screw unless it is during that procedure. When was the last time you changed plugs, cap, and rotor? Its also probably a good idea to get an ALDL reader so you can see what the computer is seeing from the sensors. It will make the troubleshooting infinitely easier.

Already changed plugs cap n rotor I have not rebuilt the injectors do you have a link to the library? Next step I’m guessing is use an amp clamp on each injector wire and see how many amps I’m pulling. I don’t know the correct amp draw however yet

Truck ran fine well 93 percent fine this summer when I replaced most of the parts

Thanks

I’m getting about .2 to .3 amps on each wire going to the fuel injectors (4wires) so just shy of a half amp going to one injector not sure if that’s good , it’s spraying good but kinda over spraying a tad bit meaning some splash out
