Yesterday I had what seemed like some fuel starvation issues. Any idea what this sediment is? There’s actually a lot more in there than the pic shows. I’m pretty sure the tank is new.

It kinda looks like water too. Recent gas fill up? Bad gas? I've seen it multiple times but not super common, it's a nightmare.

This my first tank of gas, since I don’t drive it that much. In the last 3 years it has had the engine replaced, bed off paint and body and the tank looks new. Here’s another pic. The lines are ribs in the filter. Hopefully not sugar. I don’t rule it out judging from the trucks origin and history.

Sugar doesn't dissolve in fuel unless water is present. About the only good thing about ethanol fuel is it works like a dry gas additive. Haven't seen water in a fuel tank in forever. Used to be more common.

Looks likecwater in yours. Ethonol pull moisture out of the air and ito the fuel. Small engine nightmare. I'm constantly replacing filters on my old tractor because it's gravity feed. Tank is not that Rusty but has lots of fines in it. Eventually it will be clean lol.

I put dry gas in my generator because it get rained on while running. I’ll have to put some in the truck. It has sat in my driveway since February and only registered a few months ago.
I’ll cut it open.

I was chasing this fuel filter because of rough running. And it obviously was full of stuff. But, I must have an ignition issue. I don’t have the time right now to drive the truck much. I replaced the fuel filter and and it runs the same. On and off loss of power and I noticed it sometimes pops out the exhaust. So, I hooked up the timing light just to see the blinks on each cylinder. Some are weird at idle. And at least one misses a lot as I rev it. Not sure if all timing lights do this, but after every rev, the light stops completely for a second. It’s HEI. I guess I’ll change the cap and rotor. Module? Plugs, wires?

Thanks, I pull the carb. Still have a intermittent miss, though.
