I just picked up a 95 350 that came out of a truck so it 2 bolt with the crappy tbi heads on it and non roller cam. I have stripped it down and will be taking it to the machine shop to get tanked and magnafluxed. If it checks out ok I will proceed with the build.
I will have the machine shop do these things, punch out the cylinders .030 over, install new cam bearings, new freeze plugs, and drill and tap the provisions to run a roller setup, and probably stud the heads and mains.
I want to build a streetable blown 355. This will hook up to a 700r4 so keep that in mind. I have always wanted a blower engine, but it my understanding that you need to run a low compression for a blower, so I want to aim for around 9:1. Also, this will be a carb setup, as i am not familiar with efi systems unless you guys know a good bullet proof setup. I am not sure what heads, crank, cam etc, need some suggestions.
Any suggestions, advice, other things i should have the machine shop do, please chime in
