Before trying, i didn't know do this.
The first thing needed is good mig welder.
Several years ago i tried to make some weld repair on my jeep CJ7, and it was a disaster, i though i was unable to weld something correctly, but when i started this a job, a friend of mine who know how to do came with is own mig welder, and when i tried to work with it, i managed to weld without making holes.
You don't see the miss, sometimes it s not good at the first time i have to cut an re-weld, i am very bad at taking mesurement, the parts do not fit well, they are bigger than the original (like an overlay).
This kind of job takes a lot of time, if you are not used to do this, but there is nothing undoable.
Saturday i wanted to finish to put the rocker panel.

as you sse the bottom of tha A pilar doesn't fit well, with cutting and hammering it will go at is location

also the edge didn't have the same shape as the parts on the cab, so a cut wheel attack and some spot weld had solve the problem

everything fits now correctly or as good as i want

I had to stop, because of thr rains, wind and the night falling, i didn't see enought under the cab to do a good job
