Im replacing some small sections of flooring that had begun rusting. Its right where the floor steps up and flattens out in front of the back seat. Where the 1/2 bolts are along the floor, that secure the floor to the underside bracing. I have cut out to decent metal, but there is still some discoloration of the metal as it is not smooth underneath. Ive wire wheeled it the best I can. before welding the patch piece on I was going to cover the metal underneath with something, paint, converter, something.
Any recommendations on what to use to help prevent rusting in the future?
