I'm gonna go with LMC only because I need a few body mount bolts and that rear door striker. That door striker bolt that broke off, I ain't looking forward to trying to get that **** fixed.

At the very least go get about five cans of Rustoleum rust converter spray paint and hose those inner panels to keep the rust from spreading any further. POR15 is probably better stuff but it costs quite a bit more and doesn't come in aerosol form. I have basically repainted my truck from stem to stern with the stuff (the Rustoleum, that is)and it does a pretty decent job of slowing the tin worm down to a crawl. A good cheapie idea for filling and rust-preventing in interior panels like inside the door jambs is to fill the suckers with Readifoam! It may be ghetto, but it works...
IS this the stuff you mean bud?

Sounds like you got a worthwhile plan, and not over extended on the budget for the projects value. I agree, go LMC, I have heard several quality issues with JCW body panels, and I have nothing but good about LMC panels, down to the guage of the metal and coating.

I am sure that Schuylkill River punch I back the truck into launching the boat almost every day of the year doesn't help the rust issue, lol.

So I need to get the running boards off the truck to get those lower wheel well panels fixed. I went to do that and the a-hole who installed them used the ever famous, button head phukin bolts. So naturally, half of them are spinning freely and I cant get a pair of vise grips on the heads. Now I got to spend an afternoon laying on the ground with a damn grinder. I'll have to grind on the board side so I don't damage the rocker lips and create new rust breeding spots. :flipthebird:

This is another reason why I hate 90% of the running boards on all vehicles because the majority of the time they are installed incorrectly as you've shown here. That kinda thing pisses me off and it's not even my rig!!

what about drill em out? I bet a grinder is faster though. if you hit bare metal on the thing get some of that rust convertor paint or some self etch primer and hit it before you paint.

I got my hands on a .045 thick abrasive blade for my 4 1/2 grinder, I will attempt to grind slots in the heads to use a large slotted screwdriver and if that don;t work I'll have to grind it all the way down.
