Hey guys new member here,

Have a 1991 Suburban with some rot issues where the front corners of the cargo floor meet the back corners of the rear floor pans. Wondering if anybody has tackled this issue and what parts would be required. I have heard that that floor brace is just about unobtainable. If the outer wheel liner existed would it come down to cover all that?

Thanks for any advice you guys may be able to provide!

Looks like most of the main structure is intact, at least. Get in there with a wire wheel to see how far the cancer goes. Then make a butcher paper or cardboard template that's a decent bit oversized. Make replacement sheetmetal. Trace your replacement, cut out the old, weld in the new.

I'm not very good with benders and I don't have a shrinker/stretcher. I'd make the patch out of flat-ish panels and weld them together. Then follow the process above.

And welcome to the group!

Thanks Tonimus!

Do you have any idea if these things have actual cab corners or does the front of the rear fender/quarter come down and complete that? Found this cab corner on the interweb and wondering if maybe it sneaks in there to complete that part.

I agree with @Tonimus on the grinder/wire wheel/welder cure. The cab corner replacement stuff probably won't work and I wouldn't purchase all those panels when I could make some from a donor panel or even sheets from the hardware store. Welcome to the site, look around and continue to post and ask questions. There's some smart and experienced folks on here that can certainly give you some help.
On that note, I have a '91 V1500 Sub that I'm parting out that is not a cancer-chunk. Unfortunately I see that you are half a country away from The Tarheel State though; that's a very long way to ship. Good luck in your repairs.
