If i was to hook up an led light bar under the rear of my truck what wire would i attatch it to so that it comes on with the reverse lights?

IIRC, it's the light green wire.

along this same line.

anyone know where the wire inside the cab is for the reverse lights? (putting in a floor shifter and need to add a reverse light switch. truck was a manual so no column shifter to pull it from)

Put it on a switch lazy ass. :D Then you can use it for other things and your truck won’t roll away when you put it in reverse with it not running.

Put it on a switch lazy ass. :D Then you can use it for other things and your truck won’t roll away when you put it in reverse with it not running.
When do i ever put it in reverse with it not running? Lol

When do i ever put it in reverse with it not running? Lol
When you’d be using the light for other then backing up. Like night fishing or **** like that and the only way it would work is when it’s in reverse and your e- brake don’t work.

Yep. On an auto column, it plugs into the switch at the base of the column. On a floor shift column, it plugs into a small harness that runs out through the firewall, and then to the transmission.

Find the wire that's hot at the light wiring harness at the back of the truck when the vehicle is in reverse, and tap into it. You might want to consider using a relay that the hop wire activates, to send the signal to the light bar.

After all i just tapped into the hot lead, grounded the other and voila!!
