You raise a point that never occurred to me about the markers. They have been on the car since I bought it. I assumed they were OE. The mirrors I bought here and work fine. They are not, of course, electrically adjustable. When you live outside of the US, the local availability of parts can be limited. I imported the stroker kit and found a local block and machine shop. Fortunately there are many 350s available here. I also found a rebuilt 4L60. A previous owner replaced the stock NP203 with a 205 and added locking hubs.

I like the markers...a lot. Would look super cool on my suburban. Highly doubt that my local PD would stop me for red markers. I've got away with much worse. (69 Lincoln had greed turn signals)

The previous owner of my burb gave it a half way decent rattle can paint job that is remotely similar to your paint. But its pretty tired these days...and they used red reflective tape for the striping lol

A 383 stroker and 4.56s, that thing must haul ass!

I'm a little surprised that nobody commented on the absence of a heater/AC system. Medellin is known as the land of eternal spring. The temperature varies about +/- 10 deg all year long, so I didn't see the need to clutter up the engine bay and add more things to be maintained. The only thing that happens is the occasional windshield when it rains, but, I can live with that.
Eh, that's not such a big deal. Where I live we have a temperature range that can get as low as 20 below zero in the winter and up to around 100 in the summer, and anywhere inbetween. Some of my vehicles don't have any HVAC stuff either, just more stuff to break, and take up space/weight. I care more about the driveline first, my own convenience and comfort comes much farther down the list.

As far as the parts that look out of place, I can appreciate working with what you've got available to you

Its a Frankenstein 454 w/ th400. Once ive recooped some of my $$$ I'm going to put a nv4500 in it and convert to TBI. Lol as she sits she is only getting about 5-6mpg. And thats rough for a daily driven work truck.

Under "tech discussion" there is a thread detailing some of the issues ive had. Mostly with the cooling system.

Yeah, it has a lot of low end grunt. I built it for torque. Dual plane intake and a 220 cam with about .480 lift. I'm struggling to get the carb dialed in.

I'm batteling carb issues as well. I'm running an Edlebrock 1407 (750cfm). Im pretty sure its just way too much carb for my application. A 625 -650 would be plenty.

Yeah, I think we all tend to over carburate at one point in our lives. 600-650 seems to be the sweet spot for 350-400 cu. in. engines in most street apps unless you are running a very radical cam and looking for top end performance.

Well...a buddy hooked me up with an eddy 1405 (600cfm) to try out. And....ill likely be going back to the 1407 (750cfm). The 1405 moves it down the road just fine...but idk...just seems a little gutless at WOT. Ive not driven it enough to discern any increase in fuel economy. But once inget everything else dialed in...i may try swapping back n forth and running some tests.

I currently have a 1405 on my 383. Every calculation that I have done results in a demand for less than 600 cfm. It feels good. If I were to upgrade, I would go to the 650 thunder series. 750 might be a bit much for my cam. I built the engine more for lower rpm torque than high rev hp. The problem here in Colombia is finding someone who knows how to tune carbs.

With a 454, I would think 750cfm would be the right size. Do you know what type of cam that you are running?
