So I got a call from the insurance company......truck valued at $5800.00 with an $800.00 buy back! So I get a nice check and keep the truck!

Yup, gonna blend the two together over the next few years. My tan Chevys frame and suspension is toast. If the frame checks out on the red GMC there will be another episode of "The Patchwork Pickup" on the way.

Flywheel question:
I am planning to use my 78 350 in place of the 87 350 thats in thic truck. I don't believe the flywheel will work fron the 87 on to the 78 and I believe it's a 12" clutch. Was there a 12" clutch flywheel that will fit and work with all the rest of the parts?
