RESOLVED Help! Custom power steering lines

Well I had a power steering pump bracket get broken by my kids, so i ordered a bracket from lmc truck, which is supossed to be a bolt on affair. I found out it is absolutely not! I need now custom power steering lines and at $140 a piece i decided i think im going to make my own using earls fittings and power steering line. So heres what i have found for pressure line, feel free to add in parts. 5/8 -18 (pump) to 6AN fitting. 2 90 degree 6AN. Fittings (one for pump, one for steering gear), 1 earls 11/16-18 to 6an adapter (steering gear) and 3ft earls power steering hose. Anybody here done anything like this?

I had a local shop make me power steering lines for another vehicle for $40 each. Might be worth checking around, unless you are committed to braided lines.

My '86 has metric fittings on the lines and I hate them. They are rounded off and I have to use a vise grip. I priced a new one and it was $140 (Canadian Beaver Bucks) and the bends were wrong anyway. So it's now a job on the bucket list...

Mixing metric bolts with standard makes me want to sink my boot so far up the engineers ass his teeth get kicked out.

@shiftpro i have never had AN lines round off on me, but i get your frustration lol. I have one local guy I am going to see about building me some lines. The worst case is I have to take time and build my own, but this also means they can be routed the way I want them.

Anybody who orders an aftermarket PS pump bracket from LMC, Summit and others i found the combo that works for conventional power steering. The bracks require a bolt on the backside of the PS pump that matches the front. So on my 1982 I used an LMC Truck PS pump bracket kit, a 1982 K10 pressure and return lines and a 1987 Suburban Powersteering pump.
