I need to replace the plastic latch for my factory rear sliding window. I can't come up with anywhere that has a direct fit replacement. I found that Dorman has latches but nothing that matches my 1987 V10. If anyone has been in this position and came up with a soliton, please let me know.

Latch dimensions are 1 3/16" x 2 1/8" mounting screw spacing is 3/8".

Thank you and appreciate you in advance.

Can you put more pictures with the latch? If you have access to a 3d printer you could make one. If not I could 3d print it and mail it for $5.

Thanks. Can anybody tell me what the mounting screw spacing is on the Dorman 76985 sliding window latch that is supposed to fit 1988-1994 GM trucks?

Once again, my factory 1987 Silverado rear slider has a mounting screw spacing of 3/8".

Have you tried Motor City K5

Yours is extremely similar to the window latches for the Blazer Slider windows... I purchased the rebuild kit and it came with two new latches.

The mounting screws are 3/8" spacing ... see pic below

I noticed they sell the single latches as well.

$12.00

I will post pictures of my Sliders Locking Mechanism with some dimensional information shortly.

Is it only the plastic part that is broken.

Rob - I received the latch from K5 that you recommended to me and it was a spot on, perfect match, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you again for taking the time to take measurements and pictures. I appreciate you.

Great !! That makes my day , So glad it worked out for you... I'm about to order more parts for my restoration so I get to spend a lot of money today with LMC Truck, USA1 Industries, and Motor City K5 ... and possible another one... LOL.

Have a great day ... Again, thanks for letting me know.

Here is the stl file for the latch. It uses the flexibility of the plastic as the way for the part to bend and hold it's self to the other section. It also latches by the ridges. Sliding Rear Window Latch .stl
