hey guys, this is probably a really dumb question, but...

I can't figure out how to replace the low beam headlights on my 89 v3500. I just put an aftermarket LMC grille on it. Do you actually have to remove the grill, to get the old headlight out? from the front, it looks like the headlight should slide right out of the grille opening, but I sure can't see how how you could get the headlight loose from the back.

You shouldn't have to remove the grill but you do need to remove the bezel. IIRC, on an '89, should be a torx screw under the hood, one under the parklight and a 3rd by the headlight itself that holds the bezel to the core support. Then a torx to remove the screws that hold the headlight retaining ring to the bucket.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look back at that and see if I can get to those torx heads. I think LMC's grille must be a tighter fit than the OEM ones.

That's how I remember it on our '90 Burb....I know the headlight trim/bezel is a separate part because I've seen them separate from the grille.
