Replacement floor options for 84' K10?

Hi everyone,

Seems like a good time now to think about ordering replacement floors, rockers and corners for my 84' K10.

Initially I had though of patching them as this is a beat up truck, but why do a ****** job when I can do it right and do it once?

Last week I measured the floor metal thickness to be between 18 and 20 gauge. I got a free piece 1'x2' of new galvanized sheet metal (same gauge) to test weld on with my 100 amp Lincoln flux core welder. With .030 wire and current set to "A" and feed set to "2" I got very decent tack welds on butt joints and overlaps (no blow through).

This has given me the confidence to buy and weld new floor pieces.

***Anyways, what is the best source for replacement floors etc for my truck? (size, fit quality and thickness)

I would like to get the largest floor, rockers (in/out) and corner sections I can to avoid any patching beyond what the new parts cover. I can always trim down the new panels if I need to, but would like to start with the largest pieces I could find.

i bought my floor panels from rockauto.com

i was happy with them.

plenty of 'sizes' to choose from.

one weird thing, the rockers i chose, only one side showed in their online catalog.
i simply changed the last digit of their part number in the search box and found the opposite side listed in stock.

just didn't show up under 'my vehicle'.

so, other than that, rockauto should have whatever you need.

I used Summit racing for my replacement metal. They are close to me in TX.
They have AMD, Sherman and goodmark.
If I recall all parts I used were AMD.
Good quality and no complaints.
