Has anyone used the pulling kit from Harbor Freight for removing the pulley from a power steering pump? Thanks.

You can also borrow the pulley removal and installation tools from Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts.

I have cheap pulling kit, can't remember the brand. Works as it should, keep the threads oiled.

I've used the loaner from Advance with no issue. Now I live too far from any of the auto parts chain stores so I bought a cheapy one from eBay to do the pump on my W150. I'll let you know how it goes.

I bought harbor freight puller and it works as it should. I bought it because I had to remove the pulley three different times to get the new power steering shimmed properly.

Yes the HF puller/installer works fine.
Just make sure you keep the puller bolt threads lubed up (as you should with any puller). I put a little anti-seize on them and all is good.
