What’s up everybody.
So I’ve been looking for a square for a while. Oops, bought 2.
A 75 GMC Sierra 25 (350, 4speed) with a flatbed. A real farm bastard that has surprisingly low miles. Was drug out of a barn before and barely gone over before I cowboyed it 5 hour drive home
Fuel filter and got a tank workin decent.
Been dailying it once and a while and getting her sorted out. Slowly
This ones for work and I’ll be bastardizing it big time. I want it to make puritans throw up in there mouths just a bit when I cruise by.
The we got the half ton. 1985 Sierra 1500 (305, auto)
Was a debacle but drove home. Dug some mouse nests out of the air box and around the carb. Honestly can’t believe it drove home. Tanks leak and needs front shocks. Runs good after a carb cleaning. All original. Never messed with. All the chrome is there. Going to match paint after a sh!t ton of body work and “restore” this one
I have a special connection to squares. An old, tattooed biker (a pastor) sold me his ‘70 gm for 200 bucks when I was young. 292 4 speed. Pulled a mean stump. We beat the heck out of that unit and the body rusted off. My uncle ended up dragging it out of the bush years ago and had it running to drive on the trailer.
That man that sold me the truck and gave me good advice is dead now. But the feeling I get from driving an old Gm will never die. This is my 3rd and 4th squarebody. Thanks for havin me.
