Just re read this string for ideas. I didnt take into account the new powder coat now I have stuck wheels. I have tried a regular hammer and a block of wood no luck yet . Might have to let the air out and get a BFH and whack it. And yes I have 4 powder coated rims I am sure they are all stuck.
1 step forward 99 backwards it seems at times

I just had the old wheels on my k20 stuck pretty bad, and the wheels on my blazer were stuck on when I first got it. (rust in both cases).
I kicked it em, hit it with a hammer, drop it off the jack, rolled it around with no lugs, nothing. Same thing ended getting both off. A 4 foot long, 12in wide, battering ram log, slammed into it with great force.
One of the wheels on my suburban was stuck, and I hit it from the back side with an 8 foot long 4x4.
And just recently the wheel on clients willys jeep was stuck, so I got the spare tire and swung it around and like an Olympic hammer stone thrower and let it fly like a 60lbs round sledge hammer. That got it off.
I was proud of that last one, my dad laughed his ass off

brute force seems to be the answer.
In my head i was trying to thing of a bottle jack on a post and apply pressure while a medium sized hammer was utilized. but hard to set a jack on the backside of the rim and where do you brace it.....

If you can get a bottle jack to fit between the leaf Springs and the wheel that's where I would do it. Close to the u-bolts though. Or somehow to the frame.

When I was still running my rallies, the rears would get stuck every time. No idea why, I'd wire wheeled them, greased everything and they still got stock. Rotated them too, didn't matter, the two on the rear got stuck. Almost like the center bore of the wheels was like 1mm too small.

Obviously the tire/rim assembly hasn't been off in awhile. If you rotate your tires a couple times a year, they should come off easier. If there's a chance the rim rusts to the hub or drum, use some antiseize.
I've never lived in a climate where the rim sticks like that but I've had many tires stuck to the split rims. I couldn't even get the tires off with using a loader bucket and down pressure. Even airing up the tire with the lock ring off wouldn't let the tire free. Lots of soapy water or liberal amounts of panther piss and time will do it though.

I had a similar problem with the rear wheels on my K10. I tried most of the methods others have tried. I gave up on that and went to the hardware store. I bought a Nap gas torch (the yellow bottle) kit. I heated the wheel around the center hub for several minutes and gave a tug on the wheel. It came right off. I then did the other side the same way with the same result.

Here in PA this is a common problem with trucks that sat to long.
I loosen the lug nuts and then back it out of the garage and then stab the brakes really hard.
If that doesn't work, then I use the 10lb sledge.

But you got new powder coated rims. Hammer and torch are the last 2 things I'd use.
The "New" powder coat is not sticky. Idk how the powder coat could be the issue, unless its an interference fit around the wheel center hubs.
Have you tried the loose lug nuts and drive around the block method yet?

Interference around center is it.
Not drivable yet.
Put wheels on to make space in garage....my mistake

Definitely not OSHA approved, but had enough "push" and then swinging butt end of an ax , it popped off.

Ha, ha,ha,! I have never heard of any such thing! Really?? It was stuck? Now I've had the same problem with brake drums being stuck but never a wheel. @78C10BigTen, what in the world had hold of them that they would be stuck like that?? Maybe one of the bolts was bent or two, or something like that, but there's nothing other than the bolt threads to get stuck to. What could it have been? I can't see there being that much rust holding the wheel unless it had been under water or something like that.
@81squared, looking at the back of the rim, what did you see?? Was there something evident holding the rim on there? I want to see a picture of it! Did you find one side of the bolts have threads raked off of it??
come on up north and find out what salt does to the center hole on wheels

reverse the clamps on a pipe clamp and make a handle like on a bench vise?
