Looks like GovBomb... I Thought that piece sticking through the cover was too odd shaped to be a spider gear or chunk of the pinion.Let's just say this is all that's left!!
FYI: Try to put your bearing caps back on what side they came from and in the same orientation as they were removed. If you've already forgot closely inspect them for a witness mark to get them back where they go. If it's been apart before there's a good chance someone marked the caps and housing before disassembly.
