Rear brake line help

So I’m getting ready to get the rear end out from under my 78 K20, all is going pretty well except this fitting on the end of the brake line is majorly rounded off and absolutely won’t come out, even tried filing it down to make it flatter and still won’t budge. Anybody have any suggestions on getting this out short of cutting the brake line and then trying to get the fitting out afterwards?

penetrating oil and a tiny pipe wrench or vice grips. going to need to replace the fitting anyhow, so you may as well cut it, then mess with it in the open where is more comfortable and possibly better angles.

Yep, that’s gonna be the plan, lost patience with it haha looks like I’m gonna have to it the E-brake cables as well while I’m at it

I'm with Jeremy, just cut it off. Looks like you will replace the wheel cylinder ,the lines, and the e-brake cables anyway,\.

Ditto the comments above. Just cut the line. Remove what's left of the fitting together with the cylinder. I fully expect you will snap off the cylinder bolts by the look of them. Not much of a loss. Cylinders are really cheap.

Lines are pretty cheap too. I got mine from Inline Tube.

Yeah I’m just cutting all the lines and replacing them, the e-brake cables are pretty rough too, thanks for all the input

Maybe try cutting the brake line right at the fitting, then use an Easy Out to get the fitting out.

Personal experience... if your gunna change rear ends you're way better off just putting on new lines, brake hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, hardware and adjusters.... one and done!

Its already apart and out.... fugg it! May cost a lil more but you know for sure its all new

Surprised no one said cherry red it with the blue tip and it will all but fall out. Not much resists the red treatment!
