Question concerning LED bulb upgrade?

I recently ordered and received all LED bulbs necessary to change all my exterior lights and markers to LED except for headlights. My question is: is this as simple as removing the incandescent bulbs and installing the LED bulbs or is there something that needs to be addressed in order for them to operate correctly? I know this has been discussed before but my search function has never worked, always says: no results found. TIA

I switched my headlights, reverse lights and license plate lights to led and it was just plug and play. Nothing extra needed for me on my 2015 camaro.

I really like them too.



Ps. If their hard to push in? Just flip them 180 and they should slide right in.

If you do the blinkers. It’s possible you’ll need a flasher designed for LEDs. the draw is so much lower it behaves like a bulb is burn out.

Yes messing with any turn signal light you will need an led flasher, I would get one for both the signals and hazards, if not your lights will hyperflash with signals or hazards on.

Just be aware of polarity. Most LEDs will not function if you get the +/- backwards. Probably not an issue with bulbs that are inherently polarized like brake lights, but could be with peanut bulbs in marker lamps or as someone here found out, dome lights.

When I was replaced the rev lights it was kinda hard to push them in. So like the video said just flip them 180 and they slid right in. Why? Idk but, it worked for me.

Just a tip that helped me

Thanks for the responses guys! Since I had to order the flashers I decided to go ahead and order the headlights too so now will wait till everything gets here so I can do it all at once. Decided to order a few spare sockets also in case I run in to some which might need replacing! Should be a all day project once everything arrives, that's calculating in all the beer breaks too! LOL
