So recently i was doing a transmission swap in my 83 K25 and noticed the 4-pin pigtail connector now this is where it gets tricky, my new 700r4 has a single pin connector any way i could splice or wire the OEM 4-pin to the new single pin?

Thanks in advance i am new to the 700r4 struggles and wiring.

To the best of my knowledge, every 700 has a 4 or 5 pin connector. Sounds like someone has modified the trans for manual converter control for a retrofit installation.

Assuming you have your old trans, you could swap the internal harness, solenoid, and pressure switches into the new trans. Take some detailed notes and pics. Not all pressure switches work the same, so unless you electrically verify they are both the same dont mix/match.

Do both transmissions look identical? Look at the pans. Th400 has a single pin,I'm just making sure you have the right transmission.

I can say for 100% certainty that it is in fact a 700r4. I found the invoice for the new trans and it does state that its a 700r4 and i cross matched the trans case number to the number on the invoice

I'd still compare both pans have you ever ordered something and the receipt said it was what you ordered, but it wasn't? It happens,I'm just trying to prevent you from finding out the hard way. That somethings wrong,700s have a 4or5 pin plug not a 1 pin. I bet ya more than 1 person on this forum has bought a 5.3 that turned out to be a 4.8

Correct. Even the TH350Cs had the 4 pin connector.

Yeah ive talked to a few tranny shops and they said from the picture i sent them looks like they put a corvette style pin in it but they are currently going over how much it will run me for having the connectors swapped from the old trans to the new one

Okay somebody school me, Corvettes should be 4 pin through 91 5 pin in 92,93. Has anyone ever heard of or seen a Corvette 700 with a 1 wire lockup connector? Something just doesn't sound right and if it's a Corvette 700r4 the mount, tailshaft, and speedometer drive will be wrong.
