Soooo.....

I got my eastwood...

I also called a shop .3 a miles away and got a quote for brake bleed, and alignment of $180. Took it in and the said cuz of the lift, theu couldnt align it, so I just had brakes bled.

I basically idled down and ebraked for brakes. Suspension was wobbly. I had tried to bleed it but there was still air bubbles so just but the bullet....

After all said and done, they said lots of air out, but recommended a rear drum adjust + parking brake adjust as they said pwddle is going a little too far to floor and e brake takes a lot to engage for anither $60, but I passed on that.

So I still gotta resolve....

1) alignment
2) brake adj
3) get front bumper welded on
4) do seam sealer stuff.
5) may need to readjust steering wheel again.

Also still got spool and diff cover (which I may have welded on when bumper is put on).

Then she should be "together", and likely still need fine tuning. But one step closer.

I'm glad your moving forward with lil guy/gal. Lol but 84 bucks to bleed the brakes??? All they did was hook a pressure bleeder up and open some lines. 10 minutes tops. Not trying to piss on your parade it just sickens me is all. I call ******** on it's lifted we can't align it too more like we don't want to is more like it.

Got a $25 off card from the shop I took it too. I dont know if ill go nack, but $35 sounds a lot better than $60 for brake adjustment... I dont know if he was adjusting the e brake cable and just tightwning it and the little wheel thing in the rear cylinder that spins like a stirrup or what...

Anyways detailed both my vehicles today the day was filthy in and out, and the truck was super dusty. Wanted her to look good for her date with the alignment shop tomorrow. At $140/hr I hope they get it in one, but it does have camber bolts and is pretty out of spec so may take some adjustment. I wont pay for more than two...

I've done my share of alignments and camber bolts are way easier and quicker then shims. It's when you have to get into fancy bolts to compansate, then it gets tricky, but at that point camber plates are installed to achieve proper geometry.

At first they said struts were not to be slotted, but I told them I could bring down instructions. They declined. Anyway it got aligned. Now sqeeking from right front wheel and they say my caliper is touching the wheel. I may have to grind some metal off the caliper, but dont understand why this would happen.

Also they wanted another hr and half to fix steering wheel, which is now out of alignment again. I declined.

I will fix the wheel and caliper issue. I want to know how much it would be to get bumper mounted. Probly some brackets and welding.

Then I started in grinsing the right front caliper.... Looks like a spacer wouldve worked but I just grabbed the angle grinder and went to town.. I am sure I will have to revisit this but I spray painted my calipers so I will see if there is any scoring if it grinds again..

Cool, massaging the calipers is better then a spacer in my opinion. Wheel stud in double shear is a bad idea.

Yeah I had almost all lugs sheared off when I got overzealous with spacers on a cavalier when I was young. Nuts and studs add up fast.

I even got my upper radiator bracket cut and painted. Just gotta bolt it down. Bad pic.
