I've done a couple of Long Hauls and a few partials in my '79 Cutlass, but gonna skip out on this one. I'm not sure how they would make the routes interesting through the locations they're hitting. Personally I enjoy the driving/travelling with fellow participants more than the static experience at the venues. I hope everyone who goes has a safe and enjoyable event.

There's plenty enough more rural areas to pass through I think. I enjoy the drives as well.

Personally, I'm going to enjoy driving through the areas they picked because I'll be in my own car that I enjoy driving. As opposed to the big, slow, bouncy work truck that I always drive in those areas.

@bucket I’m out this year. I’m doing the tailgate tour again in the 69. I’m hoping to have my squarebody done in time for SETN and Truckin the Trace though. I figured you’d be all over that new route up your way. I kind of wanted to go again but we decided one roadtrip was enough this year.

They tacked on another $25 to the long haul price too and cancelled all my favorite shows which doesn’t help their case.

Boooo, hissssss lol.

I'd like to do the tailgate tour as well, but as I told Wade, I can't afford the fuel to do that in either of the two trucks I have that are reliable enough.

As far as the Power Tour route goes, I'd actually love it if they focused a little more on the South. Maybe next year.

When is SETN this year? I've really been meaning to get my small block K5 on the road again.

It's been a few years since I've done Power Tour, hopefully they will swing South again and do some Texas stops. If/When they do, I'll see if the Beast is up for it, or throw a rebuild on my Monte Carlo transmission to get it up for it...
-OR-... Finally break the curse of driving through the South in June with no AC and make Dad come pick me up in his C6 Convertible. But either way, this year doesn't work for me :(

Power tour looks like fun, but that's LONG haul from the PNW....probably won't ever get around to that.

July in Nashville ^ it’s a good time. I went in ‘23 and spectated. Had to go back and enter the truck last year. It’s always hot like power tour but they have some indoor exhibits to get in the cool air for a bit.
