I severely underestimated the popularity of IHC pickups on this website.
Saying it lightly, when you own a Square you already have the best! But...these trucks have their weakness/flaws just like any other manufacturer's product. I love the 73-91 CKRV and have had dozens over the years. They are easy to get parts for and many of the parts interchange throughout the years. There are still plenty left out there as well.
The IHC trucks are obscure but they too integrate many durable and desirable components into their trucks. I too am surprised how much traction IHC has gained on this site. It's probably because like AMC, IHC used many components from the big 3 to manufacture their trucks.
It would be cool to see a new IHC 300 with a DT466 or CAT brand new on the lot but unfortunately that is not the case. As recyclers do, we can refurbish and restore what is out there to preserve the functional history of whatever piques our interest fortunately.
I still love my Squares better though!
