Poll: alternative 20” wheel options

Not following your logic. Since they cost less than expensive wheels there’s no need to make any effort to see if they fit?
How much clearance will they have? I’m trying to help you here. Would seem easier to verify than go through the trouble of buying them to try to hock them to someone who’s truck likely won’t fit either. (Unless you know a bunch of guys running around with narrowed axles looking for second hand like new wheels.)

Or in other words, I am saying I did the same exercise a few months ago and they were far too close for my liking. Iirc it was literally the difference between fat tires rubbing and skinny tires being reeeeal close.

I have no logic. I saw something I wanted to try.

I’ll edit my post- what I mean is that it’s not a huge deal to me- I’ll try them out. I know no one else in my close locale to try them on anyway. Just a project like anything else.

A 275/40 on a 9.5 or 10 is a very common setup on these cast wheel packages everyone sells. It doesn't look bad on them or stretched. I think you'll be ok, just might not be able to go any wider is all. Some used tires might be the ticket to test it out before you commit fully.

I like em all! Period correct wheels look great but the aftermarket wheels are off the charts IMO. Imagine cars today if they had the same boring wheels from back in the day…. Barf!

Took a couple measurements. 8.5 wide rims with 4.5 bs. So 4” of projection. 275 wide tires.
Has 1.5” clearance tire to fender lip. And tire is 1/2” fatter than the rim. Total 2” from rim to fender lip.
A 10” wide rim with a 4” bs will have a 6” projection or 0” clearance. Plus the additional width of the tire.
