Picked up my '78 C10 today

New to the site from the NW. Growing up my grandfather had several square body trucks and I've always wanted one. I've been looking for a while and I finally found exactly what i was looking for. Just picked it up today. Its a super solid 1978 C10 Silverado.I was specifically looking for the classic two tone with the body trim. Its got a 383 stroker, Thumpr cam, hooker headers, rebuilt TH350 w/ shift kit. Nice solid start. I plan on cleaning up the interior a bit and throwing on a 3/5 drop. It could use paint, but I kind of like the worn patina look. I look forward to browsing though the forum and learning what I can.

Looks great just like it is. If you like the patina, just do a light wet sand and clear over it. Call it done. Then you'll have more cash to do a nice interior.

Beautiful color combo ya got there. Still wonder if I should've had the roof painted white on mine as well as the fleetside stripe when I got her redone.

Sweet ride!
I like patina too and need a clear coat over my 18 year old rattle can job, went to paint the top like what you have there, and got a little carried away.
