Seller claims it's "updated" with a new boost valve. I'll check that out tomorrow.

Since you have a shop and I see a tig head, If you have a 300mm 700R4 T/C laying around
make this tool. My hands thank me everytime I use it. Makes the install super easy.

Input shaft alignment tool I made.

You can make one of these clutch drip arms if you got scrap laying around. I needed channel
content so I made it and I actually use it. Im pretty ANAL about being a clean freak when I work.

and the parts cleaner. Still looks new. I keep everything clean like new. I built it to be Batt operated and no solvent in the tank. Only on the yellow tank. Comes to the top, drains back down. Built the trans stand also.

I had to do something, lol. I didn't want it to look like a Hughes trans anymore, so it got the finest paint on the rattle can shelf.

Busy week, but got back into it.

Finished the pump. Pump clearance was .0011 on slide and rotor. It did have a .500 boost valve, but I replaced it with a Sonnax o-ringed .500 boost valve and reverse boost valve. Also installed Sonnax TCC valve with teflon sealing ring. Failed to take pictures.

Did a dry assembly and checked end play. End play was .030, so I added a .015 shim to get it a bit tighter. If I had a thicker washer, I would have liked to tighten it up a few thou more, but I don't, and I need to wrap this up.

Tore it all back down and soaked frictions, gear sets, and band in ATF. It's going to sit a while while I build an engine.

Reassembled everything and moved on to the valve body.

Some transgo stuff. The TV valve is definitely transgo. Going to send it.

Cleaned it all up and reassembled.

That's interesting, your previous post isn't that long compared to some posts I've seen all over the forum by various members.

Blocked the line bias valve, but left everything else in the valve body as is.

@Wumbo

Looks like a good start; you may find the 2-3 feed is a little soft at WOT but I'd keep everything as-is for now as it's easier to remove more material later than add it back in (i.e. buy a new plate or peen the hole shut then resize it).

Are you:
1. Blocking the 4th accumulator?
2. Doing anything special to the 1-2 accumulator?

I'd discard the MTV upshift valve spring.

Are you (or is anyone else who is reading this) getting this message when trying to make a post?
Luckily it didn't happen when I was creating my 'Information' threads, lol.

Yes, I blocked 4th accumulator.
1-2 accumulator Im using a Sonnax pinless, and haven't commited to what spring to use. The springs that were in the 1-2 accumulator were white (outer) and purple (inner) I believe, but too large a diameter to use with the pinless piston, and extremely stiff.
I have an orange or red spring that formerly resided in the 4th accumulator.

MTV upshift valve spring I was on the fence, but I'll pull that out

Should I go up to .155 on 3rd feed orifice? If so, does 3rd exhaust need to be larger?

The "Message too long" error was driving me nuts. Even when I resized photo's it would persist. The only way I could get past it was to start over, and break it down into smaller posts.

Yes, if you go .155 on the 2-3 feed, you want to increase the diameter of the band release relative to your change to the 2-3 feed orifice...Whether you do that now or later is up to you; factor in the proportions of time the vehicle will see the street vs the strip (or driven as if it was at the strip).

Sonnax pinless piston plus oversized servo and .095 1-2 orifice size (and blocked line bias) prob argue for a stock spring in the 1-2 accumulator but this may be another area you'll find yourself making adjustments as you dial in the calibration. All the 700R4s came with just one spring (white) in the 1-2 accumulator as far as I know; adding the 2nd spring firms up the 1-2 shift, all other things equal.
