Time to rebuild a "performance" 700r4. It's a Hughes Performance 74-1 as best as I can tell.

It had the usual 3/4 slip. So I thought being a performance trans, I'll just tear it down, clean it up, slap new frictions and steels in it, and send it.

Probably got some trick parts in it, being a $4K racing trans, right?

Replace the pump bushings, if you're not going to replace all of them. I like the Sonnax teflon coated rear stator bushing and their pump body bushing which can be used in the pump body and the reverse input drum (rear bushing). Also the input sprag - don't reuse the one that came out of it unless that transmission was brand new when you acquired it and vehicle wasn't beat on.

I have big plans.

Having trouble posting pics from my work computer, will update more tomorrow AM.

I see, looks good...none of all that was apparent in your prev post so figured i'd mention it, if you were just doing a refresh which is how I interpreted post #2...

What are you doing for the 3-4 pack (dont say "Z-pack")?

Sonnax input drum with 8 .067 BW high energy frictions, .095 lindered steels

Yeah, I was going to do a refresh initially, but I decided to go all in on this one.

Only getting an hour or two a day to work on this, on account of me working 7-12's, so bear with me.

Standard v8 governor, yellow and white springs (not sure if the springs are OEM). Gear is worn and will be replaced.
